It is the late 1880s. Sisters Georgina and Violet Sophia Devonshire live in the village of Glenscullion in the beautiful Glens of Antrim in Northern Ireland enjoying a life of good fortune, until misfortune befalls them and they are forced to leave for a new, yet uncertain, life in America.
