Description

Charlie Henderson was riding away from sadness when he rode out on a ridge looking down at a small ranch house in a peaceful valley. His pack mare was pregnant and he needed a place for her to foal, so he asked the widow who owned the ranch if he could lay over long enough for the mare to put her foal on the ground and get its legs strong before he continued the journey head set for himself. While dealing with this headstrong woman with a young son, Charlie helped her deal with a land-grabbing neighbor. He then teamed up with an old U.S. Marshal to help his brother and sister with their problems against rustlers and land grabbers. Charlie found happiness in the little Colorado valley where he found a place to hang his hat.
